Join us for one or all three sessions and explore the timeless messages of the Bhagavad Gita that inspired Gandhi to say, “Those who meditate on the Gita will derive fresh joy and new meanings from it every day.”

Part 1: Living your Great Battle

Friday, August 17 6:00 - 8:00 pm

The first session will uncover how the storyline of a great battle between two ruling families is truly a story about you and your life.

Part 2: Practicing to Victory

Saturday, August 18 9:00 -11:00 am

In the second session, we will look at how we make choices and embrace wisdom to become victorious on our own “field of action.”

Part 3: Leading Hearts

Sunday, August 19 9:00 - 11:00 am

Finally, in the third session, we’ll walk the paths of practice and love to explore the sublime promise that the “call to action” is leading us toward.

Experience deep relaxation body and soul as you surrender into restorative poses. Linda will share the sound of crystal bowls and information about how they can heal and restore on an energetic level. No yoga experience necessary.
Advanced Asana: Exploring Firefly with Andrea Schiebe Wed, Aug 29, 2018 at 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

Join us for our August Advanced Asana workshop. Learn how to wisely and effectively work toward Firefly Pose or refine your work in this challenging arm balance.  Enjoy Andrea's great instruction and encouragement, knowing that each person can modify according to his or her needs - preparation is a big part of the fun and challenge.

You’ll have time to warm up, cool down, and discover how and why this pose can help you express freedom and radiance.

Yoga experience strongly suggested – students should be confident in their ability in a Yoga Bird Flow class.

The early postpartum period offers a profound and intricate journey. Could you use a little extra support and encouragement to find balance during this most transformative time? This six-week series provides a safe and non-judgmental way for you to use yoga to help you heal and restore, regain strength of your abdominal and pelvic floor muscles, return to exercise safely, carry and nurse your baby with more comfort, and to share your concerns with and find support from other mom’s. This class is for mommas 6-8 weeks postpartum. Pre-crawlers are welcome; you can practice with your baby by your side or in your arms.This series is led by Sue Persia, MS, OTR/L, RYT200, is a mom, a licensed women’s health therapist and a registered yoga teacher. She will use her holistic and compassionate approach along with her medical expertise to help you facilitate emotional, physical and spiritual well-being.

($90 full series/$20 single class)

In this informal session, Anna will guide you to adopt simple strategies that help you regain momentum in the direction of thriving. We all desire a more peaceful world, and as yoga practitioners, we know that to some degree the outer reality responds to our internal states. As the kids in our children’s yoga class say beautifully at each session, “Peace begins with me.” Explore a systematic way to understand your own relationship with peace and violence and the unrest that can come from within. We will use the book, “Why we Fight,” by Anna’s teacher, Pandit Rajmani Tigunait to guide of discussion and any additional study you wish to do on your own. Join a community of those who want to approach peace in this revolutionary way.

Yoga therapeutics, ayurvedic medicine, and traditional clinical psychotherapy are three powerful healing traditions which can restore balance in life. Imagine applying all three synergistically to support the challenges in your life, or in the lives of clients and students! Designed for yoga teachers, yoga therapists, and Ayurvedic Yoga Specialists, this program will also support social workers, psychotherapists, nurses, and allied health professionals who are looking to supplement their work with clinical applications of yogic and ayurvedic practices.
As a yoga teacher, ayurvedic practitioner, and clinical psychotherapist Kathryn Templeton has developed the Three Wisdom Traditions (3WT) program with two goals in mind:
  • To support caregivers and healing professionals of all traditions to create a balanced lifestyle, develop practices for their own self-care, and decrease burnout and secondary traumatization.
  • To offer practitioners of each Wisdom Tradition tools to provide wraparound support for clients and patients, to continue their healing work outside of the session.
For certification as a 3WT Wellness Coach, there are three steps:
  1. Online completion of the 3WT Conceptual Foundations program on YogaInternational.com.
  2. In-Person Learning Lab Retreat to apply the conceptual theories presented in the online training
  3. 3WT Mentoring Program- soon to be offered on YI this Spring

Join us for this master class based on the Three Wisdom Traditions training with Kathryn Templeton.
The idea of the Three Wisdom Traditions is to weave together practices of yoga, ayurveda and psychology for a therapeutic effect to reduce stress, build resiliency, enhance adaptability, and improve regulation and steadiness.
In this Master Class we acknowledge that life brings change, love, and loss. Grief is part of the emotional currency that allows us to experience the fullness of life. When we try to bypass this feeling, life’s road gets bumpy. In this class we will break down the psychological impact of grief and use our work with pranayama and asana to nourish the heart, lungs, and mind. This class will offer three practices to support navigating grief and traveling the road of life with greater ease and steadiness.
This Master Class is the start of the Three Wisdom Traditions In Person Learning Lab we are offering. You are not required to be enrolled in the training to take the Master Class, but if you're interested please see event titled "Three Wisdom Traditions".

This 4-week yoga series is for women in every stage of pregnancy. We will use yoga postures and breath to minimize discomfort, improve muscle tone and flexibility, calm and restore the nervous system, improve circulation and balance, connect with your baby and your own body, and prepare for labor. This series will also provide a foundation for your postpartum recovery. You will also find support and encouragement from the other mom’s that are sharing this beautiful yet sometimes challenging journey with you. All levels welcome. This series is led by Sue Persia, MS, OTR/L, RYT200, a mom, a licensed women’s health therapist and a registered yoga teacher.

($60 for series/ $20 drop-in)

Kids Yoga helps our children gain self-confidence, create awareness in their body and breath and gives our kids that amazing feeling of calm. This is a fun and safe space for your child to learn and grow all while having tons of fun!

Anna and Heather will guide you on a six day retreat at Rancho Margot, an environmentally sustainable ranch and retreat center that uplifts the local residents, its visitors, and our planet. Included in your retreat package is a ranch tour, horseback riding adventure, guided kayak trip, a mountain hike to an extraordinary butterfly conservatory, and a visit to gorgeous, natural volcanic hot springs.
