I first started practicing yoga as a seventeen-year-old in my living room. My practice deepened in college when I studied abroad in Guatemala where I discovered Ashtanga yoga at a small yoga studio near my home with my host family. Amidst the struggles, stress, uncertainties and fears of life - yoga gets me through and brings me back to the peace that is within myself. I soon realized I wanted to share this feeling and gift of yoga with others and the incredible healing, energizing, and soothing benefits that it offers. Through yoga I am able to combine my passion for helping people live a better life, and my knowledge of health and wellness. As a teacher, I enjoy giving students the opportunity to come to their mat and connect deeper with their body, mind and spirit. I offer an atmosphere to build awareness, embrace individuality, and connect to something on a greater level and see the world that is working with us, not against us.

Yoga Bird Flow
This upbeat, mixed-level class incorporates both alignment of the body and vinyasa (breath by breath movement) to help you experience profound benefits in a short time. In this class, you very much design your own experience, with the instructor suggesting ways to slow down and focus on inner awareness or ways to build heat and challenge. The diversity available in this practice is part of what makes it so fun.
Exploring Asana: Side Crow
Join us for our October Exploring Asana Workshop and we will give you the opportunity to focus on breaking down the elements of Side Crow (Parsva Bakasana) and finding a solid foundation. Regardless of how far you lift off the ground, you will practice in a way that creates an opportunity to safely bring yourself closer to experiencing this exhilarating asana. Yoga experience strongly suggested.
