After learning about and practicing mindfulness for three years starting in 2011, I made my way (seemingly coincidentally) to Yoga Bird to explore yoga as a physical activity. Little did I know that yoga was the perfect "next step" in my mindfulness journey. Yoga, like mindfulness, is about being in the present moment and inhabiting the body instead of wandering to the past or the future in the mind.
I soon realized that I wanted to share the mind/body integration experience of yoga with others, particularly those with various challenges that might at first discourage them from developing a yoga practice of their own. To achieve this goal, I earned my Teacher Training certification at Yoga Bird in Fall of 2016. I am excited to be a part of many future yogis' discovery that yoga is for every body.
