My knowledge of dynamics and structure intersect with love of movement and the physical form. I bring a unique perspective and a warm energy to teaching, and have experience working in an environment focused on integrated health, fitness, and rehabilitation. But most importantly, I am passionate about helping people discover strength, freedom and joy from the inside out, through exercise.
Mat Pilates is a low impact mind body workout that focuses on lengthening the body and aligning the spine giving it the stability it needs through strengthening the deeper levels of the core (abdominals and low back). At the same time, Pilates can help tone muscles, improve mobility and flexibility. The exercises that are done are carefully coordinated with the breath in order to maximize the quality of the workout. Pilates is an exercise that is great for anyone and/ or all fitness levels. Whether you are a beginner, a senior, an advanced athlete, or one who is rehabbing an injury, Mat Pilates will help you develop a strong core so our posture is better and we move with more ease in our daily lives.
